NBA Basketball: My Kind of Game

I hereby resolve to get into basketball again this season.

All right, lately (the past few years) it has been very difficult with work and school to get into televised sporting events. But this year, I want to try my hand again at following the sporting scene. My first love to watch was basketball, with football and baseball behind. I am also enamored of hockey, because it's fast-paced and exciting. But low-scoring, like baseball. Football and baseball are slow and low-scoring, and Arena Football is not a real sport.
So the NBA season has begun. Bring it on. Watched Miami v. Memphis and Dallas v. Utah last night, both excellent. I want to follow teams and players. Can anybody help me reacquaint with players, and which teams they play for? And which sport they like to watch best?

Just for the record, I like the Utah Jazz (more postings later on...) and for players, I am a huge Steve Nash fan.

NFL, College Basketball, College Football, Baseball, NBA, Hockey - in that order.

Oh, and Australian Rules Football is in there as well! Those suckers are crazy!

Have you tried watching polo? It's fast-paced, AND high scoring. I thought it would be dumb my first time, but I've seen the Dallas Dragoons play, and it was awesome. And of course, there's my favorite (to watch, not to play) rodeo.

I'm all about the Football(NFL and NCAA) and only about the football.... sports don't exist for me between February and August....

I'm all about the Football(NFL and NCAA) and only about the football

I like football too, but in small doses. My Sundays are not filled with NFL and my Saturdays are not filled with NCAA. But I like to watch games occasionally.

That's when I hunt down NFL Films and get into Madden Football.

Not enough to find basketball exciting when I'm not playing. And you liked rodeo well enough when we had the floor stripper bull riding event down at the SCIF.................(no, for those of you listening at home, that's a dumb bored soldier game kind of thing, not an obscene euphemism.)

Polo's fast, fun, reasonably violent, involves horses, whacking things with a stick, and I particularly liked a game I saw when they knocked the ball up into the stands and nobody knew what to do. It was in a cantilevered balcony, and the guy who'd got it decided to throw it back down........which would have been great if he hadn't conked that little old lady in the front row................
