These are my random musings. Hopefully they will be witty, insightful, and frequently updated.
Life, don't talk to me about life.
Published on June 7, 2007 By singrdave In Life Journals
Well, my brothers and sisters... it's been several months since I posted anything substantial on JU. I seem to be having tremendous difficulty with my lifestyle these days. What with work, graduate school, home life (wife and four kids), and church responsibilities (including singing with the Mormon Choir of Washington DC, totally voluntary) -- it's been very impossible to free up enough time to be vocal and frequent on my blog. I still have allegiances to the blog and all it stands for, but life has gotten away from me.

I am going to repent by starting up again. We'll see how long this lasts.

The first return post is usually the hard bit.

You can come back only after posting a YouTube of your singing!

Ah, the usual suspects... great to hear from you (or shoudl I say "all y'all") again, and thank you for making me feel so welcomed back to the group.
YouTube... no thanks.
And all it took was three articles to get featured!

Hey, we just moved to the DC area (we're at Ft Meade). Our first Sunday at church we considered a bulletin about the Mormon Choir of DC performing that evening at a nearby stake center.

Would that have been YOU performing???

Oh man we should have gone, but we were so sluggish that evening. Well I'm looking forward to the next chance we get to see the choir.

Oh, how surreal as JU increasingly intertwines with real life.

Yes.

If you're in Fort Meade, Severn, or Odenton wards, then your family meets in my building. (We're in Odenton Ward, starts at 11:30.) Drop me a picture at singrdave at yahoo dot com and I'll happily come up and introduce myself next Sunday.

Neat-o, the first Sunday we were here (May 13th) we went to the Odenton ward. We were attracted by the 11:30 meeting time. But we learned that since we'd be living on base, we'd belong to the Ft. Meade ward. So we start at 9:30. (Is this TMI for the public realm? Oh well.)

I'll try to find a picture that best portrays our family, or maybe it's high time we make one. Heh.

How fascinating it will be to meet a real live Joe User. People on this site are so fun & articulate.
