These are my random musings. Hopefully they will be witty, insightful, and frequently updated.
What secrets are on your playlist?

I like a lot of music. I like everyone from Barenaked Ladies to Toad the Wet Sprocket to Def Leppard. And I am proud to like them, all of them. All but a few, that is...

There are certain singers or groups that I absolutely love but I would never tell a soul, for fear of public humiliation.

I have a closet band.

I'll tell you because I like to hear who people enjoy listening to.

My closet bands are:
Prince: he is the master of funk. As a white boy growing up in Minneapolis (Purple Heaven) I couldn't help but be a fan of the Man in Purple. He gets me in touch with my funk.
Rick Astley: what a great voice. Cheesy music but very fun. Very very 80's.

So who are you ashamed of liking?

Europe-Yep, I can't get over bits and pieces of my hair metal/rock days.

Creed-Scott Stapp annoys the crap out of my, but I still think they wrote some really great songs. I am not embarrassed, however, of admitting that, as far as rock guitarists go, I think Mark Tremonti is pretty cool.

Well, I've already admitted to owning a Go Go's album (and actually like most of it), and I've admitted to actually seeing Bo Donaldson & The Heywoods (Of "Billy Don't be a Hero" One hit Wonder fame) and "Blue Suede" (who put the Ooga Chaga, Ooga Chaga, Ooga, Ooga, Ooga Chaga into the love song, "I can't stop this feeling". WHAT MORE TO YOU WANT???

Ok, I'll admit to one more. Heaven help me but, I'm a Republican who Likes the Dixie Chicks!!

I mean, I like their music a lot! To me they have put out some of the best country music in Decades!!! I own all there albums and would gladly pay part of my VA Disability money to go see them in concert!

Ok, I admitted it! Now go away! ;~D

For geat pop music but no coolness factor whatsoever, you can't go past the Electric Light Orchestra and the Wombles. Come to think of it, I never saw them together; could they possibly be (gulp) one and the same?

Final Countdown: greatest synth rock anthem ever. How was that song never in a "Rocky" movie?

I too like the Chicks... I got through Goodfellow AFB training listening to "Fly" - our instructor played it during every study or in-class work period. Just 'cause you don't agree with their politics doesn't mean that their music suffers.

I like ELO just fine, I even like the "Xanadu" soundtrack. But "The Wombles"? Never heard of them, except in passing references on "The Vicar of Dibley". Alice: If you could be anyone, which of the Wombles would you be?

I thought of a couple more last night after posting. I really like Dead or Alive. All their stuff, every single they ever came out with. "Brand New Lover", "My Heart Goes Bang", all of it. I would really like to find a greatest hits album of theirs, I'm sure it's wicked cool.

Speaking of 80's decadent dance bands, I also love Culture Club... I think Boy George is a great singer. "Time: Clock of the Heart", "Karma Chameleon"... excellent and Boy is such a smooth operator.

Furry, I am never embarrased to say I like ELO!

But my secret sins are Bread and the Bee Gees!

Oh should I say it - it's too embarassing - I hate to admit it but I've been known to sing along with the back street boys and the spice girls. I may even have participated in a talent contest as "ginger spice".

You may have?! That's a gray area from a point in your life that you try not to remember...

I am unashamedly still a fan of the 80's and 90's hair bands. Bon Jovi will always be my favorite band, much to the chagrin of Nbs. He still thinks I owe him for making him accompany me to a concert during his mid-tour from Korea.

I do have difficulty admitting my enjoyment of the Spice Girls, though.

And what better place to come clean than in the anonymity of blog-world?
